Respite Care
“Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Respite Care Services” means a program which provides or arranges for the temporary support of persons supported with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the care of staff recruited, trained, and supervised by the licensee for the purpose of giving relief to the regular caregiver or to provide other assistance to the person supported, his/her family, guardian, or care giver. The licensed entity is the program delivering such services rather than the individual homes of the program’s providers. No more than three (3) people can receive this service in one (1) home.
GraceAge Cares will provide high quality respite care for clients when needed. This service is intended to provide temporary relief for family caregivers who are caring for people with disabilities, special needs or who are simply aging. GraceAge Cares will also assist in recovery after a surgery or hospital stay. GraceAge Cares understands that caring for a loved one in the home can be an extremely rewarding experience, but it can also be an overwhelming and exhausting undertaking. It is essential that family members get regular support to relieve stress, restore energy, and promote balance. Respite care from GraceAge Cares aims to provide shortterm breaks that relieve stress, restore energy, and promote balance within a household. Our services can help to sustain a family caregiver’s health, delaying out-of-home placements.
